The Faith Christian Academy Conquerors will take on the Goldsboro Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Faith Christian Academy knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Goldsboro likes a good challenge.
On Monday, Faith Christian Academy made easy work of Community Christian and carried off a 12-1 win. The Conquerors haven't had any issues with the Cyclones recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Ben Reese made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Reese is also crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.
In other batting news, Jessie Carrillo was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Ryan Griffin was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Faith Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Community Christian only managed four hits.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Goldsboro took on North Johnston on Thursday. The Cougars fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-1. The Cougars have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.
Faith Christian Academy's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.6 runs over those games. As for Goldsboro, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Faith Christian Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .349. However, it's not like Goldsboro struggles in that department as they've averaged .335. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
