Basketball Recap: Clinton Takes a Loss

Clinton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 75-12 loss at the hands of the Newcastle Racers. The Red Tornadoes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-9.

Clinton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Newcastle, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

Clinton won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Chickasha at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Newcastle, they are taking a road trip to square off against Bethany at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Newcastle knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Bethany likes a good challenge.
