Baseball Recap: North Sand Mountain Triumphs

North Sand Mountain won the last time they faced Section and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bison came out on top against the Lions by a score of 10-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bison.

Carson Harvey was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out 11 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

In other batting news, Jackson Burgess was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Luke Reed, who went 2-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

North Sand Mountain's record now sits at 13-7. As for Section, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.

North Sand Mountain didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 victory against Kate Duncan Smith DAR on the 7th. Section has also already played their next matchup (against Spring Garden), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
