Softball Recap: Prattville Christian Academy Extends Winning Streak to Four

Prattville Christian Academy got themselves on the board against Ragland on Saturday, but Ragland never followed suit. Everything went their way against the Ragland Purple Devils as they made off with an 8-0 victory. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.

Colbie Martin looked comfortable as she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she gave up only zero walks, the fewest she's had since back in March of 2024.

On the hitting side, Prattville Christian Academy's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Saniyah Weaver, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Megan Masters also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Prattville Christian Academy, bringing their record for this year to 10-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 5.5 runs. As for Ragland, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-3.

Coming up, Prattville Christian Academy will be taking part in a tournament against Ohatchee at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Prattville Christian Academy has won six straight at home dating back to last season, while Ohatchee won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Ragland, they will take on Munford in a tournament on Saturday.
