Basketball Recap: Willows Academy Victorious

Willows Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 52-44 victory over the Crystal Lake Central Tigers. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 65-29 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Despite the loss, Crystal Lake Central still got an impressive performance from Ruby Macke, who dropped a double-double with 27 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jordyn Johnson, who posted five points and five boards.

Willows Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 73-38 loss against Lutheran on the 20th. As for Crystal Lake Central, they will be taking part in a tournament against Woodstock at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
