Soccer Game Preview: Richland vs. Celina

The Richland Raiders will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the Celina Bobcats at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Celina will be up against a hot Richland squad: the team just extended their winning streak to six. The Raiders never let Sanger get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Tuesday. Richland's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

Meanwhile, Celina made easy work of Sanger on Friday and carried off an 8-0 win. Given Celina's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 20th, while Sanger are ranked 556th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Celina's victory bumped their record up to 6-1-1. As for Richland, their win bumped their record up to 6-0-1.
