Soccer Game Preview: Crowley vs. Lake Ridge

The Crowley Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Lake Ridge Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Crowley's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Crowley fell victim to Mansfield and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 415th, while the Tigers are ranked 143rd).

Meanwhile, Lake Ridge kept a clean sheet against North Crowley on Friday. They put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 4-0 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by three goals or more this season.

They hit North Crowley with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Mallory Day, Ava Billingsley, Autumn Flanagan, and Gabrielle Moore.

Crowley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7-3. As for Lake Ridge, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2-1.
