Palatine won the last time they faced South Elgin and things went their way on Thursday too. The Pirates walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Storm. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pirates.

While Palatine won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-23.

Palatine's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for South Elgin, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-8 record this season.

Palatine will take on Grant Community in a tournament on Friday. As for South Elgin, they will head out to challenge St. Charles North at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
