Baseball Recap: Mesilla Valley Christian School Has No Trouble Against Oak Grove Classical Academy

Mesilla Valley Christian School won the last time they faced Oak Grove Classical Academy and things went their way on Saturday too. The SonBlazers blew past the Owls 14-3. The result was nothing new for the SonBlazers, who have now won three contests by 11 runs or more so far this season.

Zach Beasley made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 6.2 innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-5.

In other batting news, Matt Borde and Urijah Martes did most of the damage at the plate: Borde went 4-for-5 with three RBI and one double, while Martes scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Davis Coyle, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5.
