Volleyball Game Preview: Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves vs. St. Laurence Vikings

The Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves will head out to face off against the St. Laurence Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Thornton Fractional South is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

Thornton Fractional South will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Reavis, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Red Wolves walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Rams on Tuesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-21.

Thornton Fractional South found their leader in sophomore Romina Calderon, who had four digs and three aces.

Thornton Fractional South was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in five consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, St. Laurence didn't have quite enough to beat Fenwick on Thursday and fell 2-1.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, St. Laurence sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-21, 12-25, 25-17.

Thornton Fractional South's win bumped their record up to 18-13. As for St. Laurence, their defeat dropped their record down to 24-11.
