Basketball Recap: Goodwin Tech Has No Trouble Against Wolcott RVT

Goodwin Tech won the last time they faced Wolcott RVT and things went their way on Thursday too. The Goodwin Tech Gladiators were the clear victor by a 91-65 margin over the Wolcott RVT Wildcats. That 26 point margin sets a new team best for the Gladiators this season.

Goodwin Tech's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nazir Russell, who went 10-for-17 on his way to 25 points along with eight assists and eight boards. The game was Russell's 16th in a row with at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amare Robinson, who posted 28 points in addition to eight rebounds and six assists.

Russell wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Goodwin Tech was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Goodwin Tech is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.5 points over those games.
