Basketball Recap: West Platte Comes Up Short

After flying high against Northland Christian last Monday, West Platte came back down to earth. The West Platte Bluejays received a blow on Friday as they fell 63-45 to the Mid-Buchanan Dragons. If the Bluejays were looking for revenge after losing 52-43 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 8-5. As for Mid-Buchanan, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-7 record.

West Platte will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on South Holt at 7:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Mid-Buchanan also won't see the court for a while: their next game is against Faith Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on February 3rd.
