Basketball Recap: McCall-Donnelly Takes a Loss

McCall-Donnelly played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Weiser Wolverines, falling 58-38. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Vandals have suffered against the Wolverines since December 14, 2021.

Despite the loss, McCall-Donnelly still got an impressive performance from Emma Ormsby, who posted 21 points. The dominant performance gave Ormsby a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexie Arnold, who had eight points.

McCall-Donnelly's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 8-8. As for Weiser, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

McCall-Donnelly will head out to square off against Payette at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Weiser, they will welcome Homedale at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
