Basketball Recap: Eastern Montgomery Comes Up Short

Eastern Montgomery played a tough game on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Parry McCluer Fighting Blues and fell 67-34. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Mustangs have suffered since December 4, 2024.

Despite the defeat, Eastern Montgomery saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kellan Stewart posted six points and six rebounds.

Eastern Montgomery's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Parry McCluer, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-4.

Eastern Montgomery wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 61-30 win against Craig County on the 17th. As for Parry McCluer, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-56 victory against Narrows on the 15th.
