Baseball Recap: Airport Gets the Win

Airport had lost three games at home, but after bumping their record up to 9-15 on Saturday that streak is in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the Carlson Marauders 9-8. That's more bragging rights for the Jets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

As for Carlson, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-16. Even though they lost, their still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

For Carlson's part, Matthew MacBride was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-5 with three RBI and two runs. MacBride has become a key player for the Marauders: the team is 6-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 10-14 otherwise. Joseph Krolak was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Airport will have a chance to go back-to-back against Carlson: the pair will be back at it again later today.
