There's no place like home for Raymore-Peculiar, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Lee's Summit Tigers with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

One reason for the win was Raymore-Peculiar's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-17, 25-14.

Ashlynn Wilkowski paced Raymore-Peculiar's offense, picking up 16 kills. Wilkowski got some help from Payton Kemp and her 23 assists. Wilkowski was also a major player on defense: she and she shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with three each.

Raymore-Peculiar's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Lee's Summit, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-20.

Looking ahead, Raymore-Peculiar will take on Blue Valley Southwest in a tournament on Saturday. As for Lee's Summit, they will take on Liberty North at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
