Blackville-Hilda hasn't had much luck against Calhoun County recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Blackville-Hilda Fighting Hawks are taking a road trip to take on the Calhoun County Saints at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Blackville-Hilda is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against North on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Blackville-Hilda had to suffer through a 70-40 loss at the hands of North. The Fighting Hawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-12.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 61-30, which was the final score in Calhoun County's tilt against Hunter-Kinard-Tyler on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Saints in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now lost five in a row.

Blackville-Hilda will need focus on slowing down Raniya Tyler, one of several Calhoun County players who made an impact when they last played. She posted 13 points and five assists. Jamaryia McMichael was another key player, putting up six points and nine boards.

This is the second loss in a row for Blackville-Hilda and nudges their season record down to 4-8. As for Calhoun County, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

Blackville-Hilda was able to grind out a solid victory over Calhoun County in their previous meeting back in January, winning 36-26. The rematch might be a little tougher for Blackville-Hilda since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
