It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bellevue West can now relate to. They took a 47-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Omaha Westside Warriors on Friday. The Thunderbirds' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Bellevue West lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Stevie Harley, who posted 12 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Yirah Sears, who earned 11 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Omaha Westside to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kimora Jenkins, who had 14 points and six boards. Jenkins continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Himayajo Metoyer, who scored 15 points.

Bellevue West's defeat dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Omaha Westside, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.

Bellevue West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Omaha Westside, they and Millard West will face off at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Millard West comes in on 25 and Omaha Westside on 12.
