The Green Valley Gators lost to the Bonanza Bengals back in December of 2021, but the Green Valley Gators didn't allow the Bonanza Bengals the same satisfaction on Friday. Green Valley took down Bonanza 71-52. The win made it back-to-back wins for Green Valley.
Green Valley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brock Barney, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds. The matchup was Barney's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Daniel Espino was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
Green Valley's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Bonanza, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Green Valley will take on Faith Lutheran at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bonanza, they will be playing at home against Sunrise Mountain at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
