Soccer Recap: Abingdon/Avon Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Beardstown, Abingdon/Avon was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Tornadoes who were credited with the win. The Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Schaumburg Christian Conquerors's three. Caden Rogers had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Abingdon/Avon.

The victory got Abingdon/Avon back to even at 1-1. As for Schaumburg Christian, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Abingdon/Avon wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Byron on the 30th. As for Schaumburg Christian, they have also already played their next contest, a 0-0 win against Riverdale on the 30th.
