Softball Game Preview: Tatum Eagles vs. West Rusk Raiders

For the second straight game, Tatum will face off against West Rusk. Tatum will challenge West Rusk at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Tatum is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on West Rusk with a sharp 25-1 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Eagles have won six contests by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Camryn Milam was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasmyne Taylor, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Tatum hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most one strikeouts in three consecutive matchups.

West Rusk dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Tatum, their win bumped their record up to 7-9.
