St. James Academy came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Blue Valley Northwest Huskies by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Thunder, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While St. James Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 26-24.

Their offense was headlined by Mya Lee and Madeline Elter, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Ellen Dorsey and her 19 assists. Catelynn Conrad controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

St. James Academy's victory bumped their record up to 22-8. As for Blue Valley Northwest, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-19 record this season.

St. James Academy will take on St. Teresa's Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Blue Valley Northwest, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Blue Valley on the 7th.
