The Munford Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Raleigh-Egypt Pharaohs at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Munford is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Munford's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Memphis Home Education Association with a sharp 13-0 victory.

Houston Yount made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Yount was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Curly Lowry, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. That home run was his first of the season. Brodie Fortner was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Munford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, while it was Raleigh-Egypt who put the first points on the board on Wednesday, it was Bolton who put up more. The Pharaohs fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 8-7. The Pharaohs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Munford's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Raleigh-Egypt, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
