Soccer Game Preview: Forge Christian vs. The Academy

The Forge Christian Fury will head out on the road to take on The Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Forge Christian came up short against Eagle Ridge Academy and fell 4-2. Forge Christian have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Wyatt Arter and Easton Wilde scored both of Forge Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, The Academy was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They fell just short of Colorado Academy by a score of 1-0. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but The Academy couldn't quite close it out.

The defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 6-4-3. As for The Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3-2.

Forge Christian took their win against The Academy in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 8-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Fury since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
