Football Recap: Putnam Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Putnam fell victim to La Salle and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Falcons, falling 36-0. The Kingsmen were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.

La Salle's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sterling Dressel, who rushed for 92 yards and one score on only ten carries, and also threw for 97 yards and one touchdown on only seven passes. The dominant performance also gave Dressel a new career-high in passer rating (141.4). Another rusher making a difference was Sean Fennell, who rushed for 97 yards and one TD on only nine carries.

Putnam's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for La Salle, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Coming up, Putnam will be playing at home against Gresham at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for La Salle, they will face off against Hood River Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
