Albert Lea hadn't done well against Faribault recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Tigers secured an 84-79 W over the Falcons. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Falcons back in December of 2025, they had to take a 69-66 defeat.

Albert Lea has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.3 points over those games. As for Faribault, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-10.

Looking ahead, Albert Lea won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Owatonna at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Huskies have now posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests. As for Faribault, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Kasson-Mantorville at 1:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
