Basketball Recap: Commerce Tigers vs. Franklin County Lions        
        
		
             It was a proper cat-fight when  Commerce duked it out withFranklin County on Thursday. The Commerce Tigers fell  52-39 to the Franklin County Lions. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in December of 2023.
 Despite the  defeat, Commerce saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Arianna Patman  had 18 points in addition to seven  rebounds and three  steals. Patman is  crushing it when it comes to  steals: she's   grabbed at least two every time she's  taken the court this season.  Essence Hester was another key player,  earning five points plus six  rebounds and two  steals.
 Commerce's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Franklin County,  the  win  got them back to even at 2-2.
 Commerce has already played their next match,  a  58-34  victory against East Jackson on the 23rd. As for Franklin County, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Elbert County at 6:00  p.m.  on December 3rd.
