Soccer Recap: King George Takes a Loss

King George was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Culpeper County Blue Devils. While losing is never fun, King George can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 221st, while Culpeper County are ranked 68th).

King George's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8-1. As for Culpeper County, their win bumped their record up to 7-2-2.

Looking ahead, King George will be playing in front of their home fans against Courtland at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. King George will need to watch out since Courtland have now posted at least four goals in their last four matchups. As for Culpeper County, they will head out on the road to square off against Spotsylvania at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
