Mountain View has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging three runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Terra Nova Tigers. The Spartans' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Christian Bandy was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. Luke Orrock was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
