Baseball Recap: Clay's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Clay was the 6-5 winner over Anthony Wayne when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell 8-4 to the Generals on Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly four runs.

Landon Eversman stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he went 2-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Brayden Toneff was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

Clay's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-6. As for Anthony Wayne, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Clay will host Bowling Green at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Anthony Wayne, they will venture away from home to face off against Whitmer at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
