Tioga is 6-0 against Rapides since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Tioga Indians will challenge the Rapides Mustangs at 7:00 p.m.

Tioga is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Peabody just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 64-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warhorses.

Meanwhile, Rapides won against Grant on Monday with 51 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Rapides walked away with a 51-43 victory over Port Barre. The Mustangs didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this win makes it their second in a row.

Tioga better keep an eye on Zayveian Johnson. He was instrumental in Rapides' win, as he made all 7 shots he took from beyond the arc racking up 29 points. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which Johnson has scored at least a third of Rapides' points. Another player making a difference was Antwon Jones, who posted eight points in addition to eight boards and five assists.

Rapides' victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 8-14. As for Tioga, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-11.

Tioga didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Rapides in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 49-45 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tioga since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
