Volleyball Game Preview: Bethune Bobcats vs. Flagler Panthers + How To Watch

Bethune hasn't had much luck against Flagler recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Bobcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 5:30 p.m.

Bethune came up short against Kiowa last Friday, falling 3-0.

While Bethune was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Kiowa's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-19, 25-21.

Despite their loss, Bethune saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Sujeily Landaverde, who had 11 digs and two aces, was perhaps the best of all. Peyton Killian also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

While Flagler didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on Limon with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Panthers have posted against the Badgers since September 15, 2016.

One reason for the win was Flagler's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-17, 25-12.

Flagler's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Bethune, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.
