It was a good run, but Chester County unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Lexington Tigers by a score of 2-1. Chester County were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lexington apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Chester County's goal came courtesy of Tanner Melugin, who's now up to three this season.

Chester County's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-4. As for Lexington, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-6.

Looking ahead, Chester County will take on Hardin County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lexington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jackson South Side at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Lexington are facing Jackson South Side at the right time seeing as Jackson South Side are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
