 If Westminster Christian was feeling good  off their  14-3 takedown of Fort Myers in their first game  on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Westminster Christian Warriors fell just short of the Cooper City Cowboys by a score of  4-3 in their second game  on Saturday. Westminster Christian has not had much luck with Cooper City recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
  Giovanna Khoury was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 2-for-4 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 On Cooper City's side,  Elizabeth Bruzgis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up nine Ks.
 At the plate, Cooper City's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Jordyn Samson, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 Westminster Christian's loss dropped their record down to 11-6-1. As for Cooper City, their win  ended  a  five-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 7-10.
 Westminster Christian will take on Miami Christian at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Miami Christian's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5  runs per game  this season, so Westminster Christian's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Cooper City, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Western at 6:30  p.m.  on Monday. Cooper City is no doubt hoping to put an end to  a four-game streak of away losses.
