Volleyball Recap: Canton South Comes Up Short

Canton South extended their losing streak to seven on Tuesday, dropping them down to 2-16. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Manchester Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 4th.

As for Manchester, the win snapped their losing streak at eight matches and leaves them with a 4-16 record. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since September 6th.

Manchester found their leader in sophomore Ryley Wall, who had 22 digs. Saige Rankin also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Coincidentally, Canton South and Manchester will both be playing Orrville the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will head out to face the Red Riders at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Panthers will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
