Softball Recap: Vestal Makes It 11 in a Row at Home

Vestal had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. They blew past the Johnson City Wildcats 14-7. Considering the Golden Bears have won four games by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Vestal's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Johnson City, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
