Football Recap: Richardson Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Richardson was the 21-18 winner over Berkner when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell just short of the Rams by a score of 17-14 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 419th, while the Rams are ranked 208th).

Despite the loss, Richardson saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Chad Watson made ten total tackles (2.0 for loss) and defended one pass.

This is the second loss in a row for Richardson and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for Berkner, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Richardson has already played their next contest, a 61-13 win against Irving on the 3rd. As for Berkner, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 58-0 victory against Nimitz on the 3rd.
