Baseball Recap: Irvington Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against California, Irvington was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the San Ramon Valley Wolves, sneaking past 1-0. This was payback for the Vikings, who suffered a 16-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Not much got past Angus Buchanan, who gave up just four hits to keep San Ramon Valley off the board.

At the plate, Irvington's win was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Jaksa, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Irvington's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for San Ramon Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Irvington wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 5-1 defeat against Freedom on the 5th. As for San Ramon Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-3 win against Archbishop Mitty on the 1st.
