Basketball Recap: Lake Central Gets the Win

Lake Central won the last time they faced McCutcheon, and Zachary Greene did his part to make sure it happened again. The Lake Central Indians walked away with a 67-56 victory over the McCutcheon Mavericks on Friday for which the team can thank Greene, who shot 67% from the field on his way to 18 points and eight boards. His big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Ireland, who went 5-for-8 to rack up 12 points. Those 12 points gave him a new career-high.

Lake Central's win bumped their record up to 8-13. As for McCutcheon, they moved to 13-8 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Lake Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for McCutcheon, they will square off against Kokomo at 7:30 p.m. on March 7th. Kokomo is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 76 points per game this season.
