Baseball Game Preview: Balboa Buccaneers vs. Lowell Cardinals

Balboa is 0-10 against Lowell since April of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Buccaneers will be playing at home against the Cardinals at 3:30 p.m. Balboa has given up an average of 12.2 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Balboa is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 13th straight game dating back to last season last Thursday. They lost 14-1 to Lowell.

For Lowell's part, Reggie Fong was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs Fong has posted over his last 11 contests. Another player making a difference was Jhomar Ronquillo, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Balboa's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Lowell, they moved to 17-8 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.
