Volleyball Recap: Middletown South Comes Up Short

Middletown South lost against Christian Brothers Academy back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Eagles fell just short of the Colts by a score of 2-1. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Colts 25-14 in the first set.

Middletown South actually scored more points across those three sets (74-67), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 14-25, 26-24, 27-25.

Middletown South's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Christian Brothers Academy, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Middletown South will face off against rival Marlboro at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Christian Brothers Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Howell at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
