Soccer Game Preview: Seminole Ridge vs. Royal Palm Beach

Seminole Ridge and Royal Palm Beach are an even 4-4-2 against one another since January of 2021, but likely not for long. The Seminole Ridge Hawks will challenge the Royal Palm Beach Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Seminole Ridge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.9 goals per game this season.

Royal Palm Beach better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Seminole Ridge really get things going. Seminole Ridge was the clear victor by a 6-0 margin over Dreyfoos School of the Arts on Wednesday. Kasen Peitz was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Royal Palm Beach lost 6-1 to Santaluces on Thursday. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 3-0.

Seminole Ridge pushed their record up to 8-8-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those three matchups. As for Royal Palm Beach, their loss dropped their record down to 14-4-5.

Seminole Ridge beat Royal Palm Beach 2-0 when the teams last played two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for Seminole Ridge since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
