Recap: Vincennes Lincoln Alices vs. North Knox Warriors
The Vincennes Lincoln Alices's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 74-45 loss at the hands of North Knox. While losing is never fun, Vincennes Lincoln can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 180th, while North Knox is ranked 19th).
North Knox's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lexi Primus, who scored 17 points along with seven steals. Primus is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Alex Mckinley, who scored 19 points along with three steals.
Vincennes Lincoln has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for North Knox, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-1.
Vincennes Lincoln will be playing in front of their home fans against Richland County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Richland County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight last Thursday. North Knox's road trip will continue as they head out to face Loogootee at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Loogootee is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
