Football Recap: Southeast Career Tech Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Southeast Career Tech won the last time they faced Silverado, and Leyla Randolph did her part to make sure it happened again. The Southeast Career Tech Roadrunners simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat the Silverado Skyhawks 48-6 thanks in part to Randolph, who threw for 159 yards and five touchdowns while completing 93.3% of her passes, and also rushed for 35 yards. That's the most passing touchdowns she has posted since back in December of 2023.

One reason for the win was Southeast Career Tech's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Camila H and Leah McClain, who racked up five sacks between them.

The win (which was Southeast Career Tech's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 28.0 points per game. As for Silverado, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Southeast Career Tech will welcome Coronado at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Silverado, they will head out on the road to square off against Centennial at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Silverado is facing Centennial at the right time seeing as Centennial is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
