Softball Game Preview: Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs vs. University Titans

Flagler Palm Coast is 0-10 against University since April of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs will welcome the University Titans at 7:00 p.m. Flagler Palm Coast has given up an average of 8.9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Flagler Palm Coast is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Palatka, falling 11-3.

Mackenzie West made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that she snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Parker Roberts, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, University suffered their closest loss since April 6, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Spruce Creek by a score of 6-4. The Titans haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

University also got a good showing from Kendra Lee, who struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). Lee has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, University saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mia Fisher, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Bella Delgado was another, going 2-for-3 with two doubles.

University's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Flagler Palm Coast, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
