Softball Recap: Hanceville Bulldogs vs. Fairview Aggies
Hanceville's last matchup with Fairview could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Tuesday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Aggies, falling 14-8. The Bulldogs' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
Josi Jones and Bella Spinks put in work while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Jones tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Spinks struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and 11 unearned) runs off five hits. At the plate, Jones went a perfect 4-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and four RBI, while Spinks went 2-for-4 with three RBI.
In other batting news, Kynzlee Farr made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Alex Twitty was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Hanceville's loss dropped their record down to 9-14-1. As for Fairview, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-9.
