Softball Game Preview: St. Teresa Bulldogs vs. Peoria Notre Dame Irish

The St. Teresa Bulldogs will venture away from home to face off against the Peoria Notre Dame Irish at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. St. Teresa has now lost 15 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 8.

On Wednesday, St. Teresa didn't have quite enough to beat Warrensburg-Latham and fell 2-1.

St. Teresa saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley Boyer, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Peoria Notre Dame suffered their biggest defeat since April 13, 2024 on Wednesday. They lost 11-4 to Rochester. The Irish haven't had much luck with the Rockets recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Mady Gibson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

St. Teresa's record is now 6-20. As for Peoria Notre Dame, their record now sits at 11-11.

St. Teresa couldn't quite finish off Peoria Notre Dame in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 and fell 7-5. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
