Basketball Recap: North Miami Piles Up the Points Against Dr. Krop

There's no place like home for North Miami, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They blew past the Dr. Krop Lightning, posting a 59-24 victory. Given the Pioneers' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 140th, while the Lightning are ranked 474th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

North Miami got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Rayna Benoit out in front who went 9 of 18 on her way to 23 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Naima Gernes, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 boards.
