Soccer Game Preview: Seymour vs. Waterbury Career Academy

The Seymour Wildcats will challenge the Waterbury Career Academy Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

While Seymour's victory against Kennedy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Eagles on Friday. The victory was nothing new for Seymour as they're now sitting on three straight.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Waterbury Career Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Woodland Regional 3-2 on Saturday.

Waterbury Career Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-3-2. As for Seymour, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0-3.

Seymour was able to grind out a solid win over Waterbury Career Academy in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, winning 3-1. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Spartans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
