Black Hills has gone 9-1 against Centralia recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Friday. The Black Hills Wolves will welcome the Centralia Tigers  at 7:00  p.m. Black Hills is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.1  points per game  this season.
Black Hills fought the good fight in their overtime  matchup against Tumwater  on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Thunderbirds by a score of  49-47. While the Wolves didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Thunderbirds  10-4 in the first  quarter.
Despite their  loss, Black Hills saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays.  Natalie Buchanan, who  dropped  a double-double on 16 points and 14  rebounds, was perhaps the best of all.  Ellie Johnson was another key player,  putting up nine  points and eight  boards.
 Even though they lost, Black Hills  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 25  offensive rebounds. That's the most  offensive boards they've posted since back in January of 2024.
 Meanwhile, Centralia was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap  on Wednesday as they fell  53-48 to Shelton. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings  (they are ranked 262nd, while the Highclimbers are ranked 98th).
 Centralia dropped their record down to 5-8 with the  defeat, which was their fourth straight  at home. As for Black Hills, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost six of their last seven contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record  this season.
 Black Hills took their  victory against Centralia  in their previous matchup  back in January of 2024 by a conclusive  48-28. Will Black Hills repeat their success,  or does  Centralia have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
